then the evening, well if this is night one I am glad I booked Sunday night as well

after a few minutes

then we had the oddest raffle I have ever been involved in, but a great laugh

apparently I did mention out loud the word puppies, sorry Dawn, it was Martins wines fault x

words fail me now, as they appeared to do for Colin and Ger too

then there were the odd socks the first of a few

Didn't intend to look in on the thread as I didn't think I could handle it but I am a Nosey Mare when all's said & done & couldn't resist when I saw pics had been posted and it's the New Forest of course

Early ish morning and most funsters are sleeping off the effects of last nights festivities.lol. Me? Had a nice walk then bought hot chocolate crossoints from shop. Mmmmhhhmm.

Few more interesting bits about this site and area.. Site used to be an airfield used by Mosquito aircraft during the war and was used until 1946 when it was handed back to the forestry commission.the main runway is still visible about a 100 yrds out from site entrance.

@Khizzie if you go out of the site and turn right towards the forest road on the right there is a memorial of the 12 airfields in the forest.

Walking into Burley for a mooch about and a pub lunch - heading off about 11:00 if anyone fancies coming along.

It's about 45 mins walk either way.

I have to report that following our first afternoon and evening we are no longer in the Red, we have certainly moved into the black because of every ones remarkable generosity.

Chief Marshall for getting all campsite fees was Sandra (Armytwowheels ) aided by her two debt collectors Colin and Phil @Taran_Las . And so many Fun Folk paid more than was being asked for. Thank you.

In charge of Catering was Ger @cliffandger aided by Mrs Popeye and all the Raffle prizes were sourced by Jackie and Ger and Dawn @Mousy the sound system was donated by Roy @Khizzie and music courtesy of @Steve and the marquee on low cost hire from my pal Graham.

However the wonderful evening of Fun was courtesy of all of you and I hope this evenings Witch and Warlock Auction will go down just as well as last nights raffle.

Thank you all especially the ground crew who stepped in where @Debs and Les would have been had fate not stood in the way.
