Been there, done that!Tie-downs work very well but the awning still flaps up and down. Not too bad during the day but at 3am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Outside in you PJ's winding the damn thing in!

I always use tie-downs (and peg the legs) even if there's no sign of wind at the time. If it starts to get windy I wind it in only when the noise becomes too annoying. For me the noise annoyance wins long before the wind is enough to cause damage.
