Hi, having recently changed my motorhome I now have the above head unit. It has dvb radio and TV box fitted but it has very poor reception on both radio and TV. It has dual boosted antennas although I have not traced the positioning of them as they are internal in the body work. My question is can I easily get a reliable dab + system as an add on possibley via aux input? As the manuals ( yes plural) state you can't have a dab+ box and dvb radio TV box connected at the same time. Or are there any other recommendations regarding changing antennas, aerials etc that I should consider. I have in our previous motorhome fitted a dab + boosted aerial and found it had perfect reception but don't know if such an aerial and dab + cigar lighter aux output jobby would produce the same outcome. Any assistance info would be welcome.

Check that the power to the aerial amplifier(s) is connected.

Yes states it's at 5v the three options are off 5v and auto. Which would you recommend?

Trying to get a TV picture with a rubbish antenna will not work. You really need something on the outside that you can point towards a transmitter. You will also have to tune the TV in every time as different masts transmit on different frequencies.

You could use your phone connected to the AV input and stream radio via your internet connection or just buy a DAB Radio.

Or just bin it and start again.

Totally agree. I have 4G Booster antenna on roof with internal Wifi. Have Internet on the move Dab / Netflix / Virgin Media / BBC Iplayer.... whatever.. You need to embrace modern Tech. I ripped out all the old stuff. Cost £400

Things have come a long way in 5 years. You might as well use a tablet and download content before you leave home.

Try Auto. If no change leave at 5v.

As for down loading we are out for 13 weeks plus, so downloading enough not an option. I have satellite so TV at site not really a problem. Getting dab + radio on the move is the goal.
