Do you think John Noakes is a bit pissed ?
Why did he not just buy a truck, same MAM and a lot less hassle? 
I wonder how far they got ?
Presuming that is late 60's/early 70's it looks a pretty impractical vehicle for global travel at the time (or even today).
They would have been much better off with something like a Bedford ex British Army truck (of which there were many doing global travel at the time) and then towed the caravan.
