Window Vac

My Karcher is ok on its side but when you point it downwards to get to the bottom of the windscreen it does dribble a bit if its half full or more. I just empty it first before doing the bottom of the screen and its ok.

I had an early model and it dribbled, but the new smaller one I brought, has a different design in the water tank and doesn’t dribble. It does need emptying out on the windscreen as the tanks small, but I prefer it as it’s easier to store.

Our Karcher works well. Just make sure you do the bottom of the screen first and work up, less of the dreaded dribbling. Helps if you open a side window first so you can empty it if getting full without having to do a juggling act.

Manic uses a Karcher on the windows, got a tip to put a sock on it to catch the drips, but I’ve used it and if you keep it at an angle it doesn’t dribble/drip.
We use it on the shower walls and door in the van too.

2 karcher ones. Both dribble, or blow out their contents if not emptied multiple times.

How new are these non dribble ones? Any pics?

It is not just about age but model number. Karcher still sell the WV1 window vac which is the one more prone to dribble. The more expensive WV2 and WV6 are a little different. I have a WV1 in the motorhome but the dribble is easily managed. At home we have a WV2 which is less prone to dribble. They both make quick work of clearing condensation from windows.

Our Karcher did pack up a few months ago. I stripped it down, motor has seized up, I sorted it out and it's been working OK.

Yesterday it packed up again and we have daughter & grandkids in the van.
couldn't believe the cost of a new WV2 £70 we paid about £38 for it.

Screwfix nearby so bought a cheapie Titan one, useless pees water everywhere even just rotated 90° so they can have it back.
Mr Wallet will have suffer.

I purchased one from The Range, its bet than the Karcher, after learning how to use it without the spray back. It clears the water well with only 1 empty I can do the whole screen without any dribbles. Secret is a plastic bag around the exhaust hole, elastic band and away you go!

Have a look at the Karcher outlet. Usually some good deals.
