WI-Fi boosters .

I have a directional aerial and an Alpa R36 router, but hardly ever use it now. A fiddle to set up and you need to be a bit techie, easier to use data.

There are occasions when my MotorhomeWiFi booster comes in handy. Not fit and forget, but you get the hang of it. I find it a great help at CampingCar Park aires. Enables me to stream NetFlix

Same here.
Also you only pay for a single connection if paid for wifi on a site.
It also helps getting a better signal when parked further away from the mast

Just checking you mean WiFi booster and not Mifi booster? Can be confusing.

Boosting the Wi-Fi signal being received by the midi. Boosters normally only strengthen the received signal, not the transmitted one.

I may be talking out of my backside, but the way I understand it is:

The router picks up a phone/broadband signal, it then broadcasts that signal via a WiFi signal.

So a WiFi booster will enhance the broadcasting of the signal 'from' the router, thereby allowing a stronger reception of the signal.

It will do nothing to enhance/improve the signal received by the router.

I have had several different BT routers supplied, the latest has improved WIFI which enables the signal to be accessed from more remote parts of the property but does nothing to improve the abysmal broadband speed or band width.
