Is this a ligit MOT and DVLA are sooo far behind?

My friend is looking for a really cheap motorhome, I came across one that has had damp in a few places. The extent of it we would soon see with damp meter but putting that aside at the moment. Been chatting to the seller via pm whose apparently selling on behalf of " A charity" .

Long story short he said its MOT'd til Dec, I replied yes last year... No this year he said and sent an MOT copy. Doesn't match up with DVLA account which says MOT ran out Dec 2020.

I believe that when the MOT has been completed the DVSA website is automatically not manually updated.
I'd contact DVSA on the email address or phone number given on the certificate.

Maybe the test has not been registered with DVLA. If you were stopped by police, would they go by DVLA data?

Not an encouraging history!

Have just had a look at my own actual test certificate.
My test date is recorded as 22.09.2020
My renewal date is recorded as expiring on 21.09.2021, ie 1 day before a full 365 days.
This certificate shows the expiry date as 1 day AFTER the full 365 days.
Are those dates the wrong way round, a simple mistake maybe, but I thought MOT paperwork had to be pretty spot on and meticulously accurate?
Also, no advisories on a nearly 30 year old van, not even minor surface corrosion or rust on the exhaust, seeing as it has only done about 1000 miles per year for the past 5 years?
I could well be totally wrong, but just thought I would add my 10 pence worth of opinion.
Thanks 😊

What happened to the 2019 Test recorded at DVLA with Mileage @70355 miles
(Although they've lifted the Garage No. ie 2872 3842 7959)

 It has pages of MOT Fail faults and Advisories.

I think even the f "Small f" William is another fake tell tale sign
And the lower case 'r' in road.

I've just checked the history and it was noted in 2019 and that 1 isn't showing on short you have , j have also just checked on 1 ome my vehicles that was mooted 3 weeks ago and that shows on the DVLA website so I'd say that's an iffy ticket you could always ring the garage and ask if you can talk to someone about a dodgy mot certificate and I'm sure they will fall over themselves to rectify the situation a d I have just googled the garage and it doesn't seem to exist in fort William and the postcode on google earth doesn't show a garage with that name is the van in fort william?

looks like someone has altered the 2019 certificate, DVSA site is updated instantly as soon as the test results are entered and saved before you go on to print certificate

I'm under no doubt its phoney. What I'm unclear about is who is being been deceptive. the viewing is in Dalmarnock, an rundown area but you get good and bad folk everywhere so may mean nothing.

There's no 'Transport Repair Garage Ltd.' on Google.
The address on the Cert matches Ben Nevis Motors Ltd. Deffo dodgy looking to me.

Unless it's different in Scotland the MOT testing station isn't printed on the certificate for privacy , it used to be but hasn't been on there for a good few years

Didn't know that , it was removed in England over worries that owners could be tracked down , Possible pressure put on the testing station to reveal addresses , IIRC people were worried about victims of domestic abuse having their location revealed.
Yes its legally printed here in Scotland

The Test Number on the "Fake" Certificate is the same as for the MOT that expired in December 2020. All the previous tests have a unique number.
