MH
a class frankia
These emmision zones throughout Europe are confusing me.
My van is 7.5m long, euro 5 ducato, but it's 3860kg. So what am I, am I classed as m1 car or n ? Truck. I really have no idea what to put for france, germany, Poland Austria and more HELP. All I get told is I should know. But I don't.

Thanks, but it doesn't as my van and Weight do not fit into any of these euro groups.

Sorry perhaps I misunderstood your query. The distinction between 'M' and 'N' is generally passenger vehicle or goods vehicle. If your reference to 'van' is a motorhome it would be M1 or 2; if it is not a motorhome and a commercial vehicle it would be N2. Hope that makes it clearer.

Motorhome is M1 SP.

On the French Crite Air form over 3.5t you have put it down as a truck.

Because, as Nigel P said, a MH is passenger and not goods so M1, albeit Special Purpose, I put ours down on Crit' Air application as a car.

Let's see what they come back with.

Didn't think there was a car option for over 3.5T.

I can't remember having to put in a weight.

However I got an acknowledgement saying the sticker will be despatched, so presumably all is in order.

I doubt whether the French have access to the Polish register for Veteran vehicles.

Anyway the chances of our going into a French city at a time when the emissions ban is in force is minimal, so as long as we have got the sticker on the window if we ever go into a city I doubt whether anyone is worried whether it is the correct category when there is no emissions ban in force.
