We have decided to sell up our motorhome. I have always wanted one and thought that my husband and I would have a great time exploring Europe. He was never keen on the idea but I hoped he would come round to it. It hasn't worked out and is just causing arguments. Any little thing that went wrong became a big deal. Everything is fine with the van now, just got mot, service and 4 new tyres. Also habitation check, all ok. Had battery master fitted last week.
Also as husband is very tall and seat cannot be moved back more, it has become very uncomfortable to drive.
We have asked motorhome depot to come and look at it next week. Various '' we buy any motorhome'' people have given us stupid prices.
We'll have to see what price motorhome depot offer, to see if we need to reconsider selling privately. I'm wary of selling privately due to scammers.
I'll be really sad to see her go.

We have sold a few through motorhome department, different company than the one you say, and been very satisfied, you name your price and he will tell you if he can sell it for that.
No pressure at all.

I am sorry it has not worked out for you. It's not for everyone. Why not advertise is on here in the Classified section. It's free so you might as well.b

Why not put it on here in classifieds?

You get a better class of scammer on here(y)

Good luck with the sale.

Carolina

as suggested - put it in the classifieds on here. it might be handy if you give some info re type, model, number of berths, age, mileage etc on here so other funsters get a heads up on what youre selling/asking

Simon-Alan Kerr might offer you a better deal than most, if its a decent/high standard? he is a dealer, but a genuinely decent guy ...

I'm saddened to hear that just as you have it all sorted it has to go. The market is said to be buoyant still so selling via the Fun Classifieds or a broker/agent would fetch you a better price.

Better still, put the husband in the Classifieds ;)

Sorry forgot the link

I've just looked on there. They have one similar to ours, Autosleeper Broadway EL but a year older and with more mileage for £37995.
I've read their 'forecourt option' of selling, where they say they do not make a charge for the service., but they sell it on their forecourt. Well what do they get out of it?

Simon - Alan Kerr............Proper bloke and a gentleman too! Go fo it

Carolina...He will look after you,

Swap your Husband and keep the MH,
This made me laugh but there are quite a few women who travel solo, myself included (though there has been a recent change to that)

Really sorry to hear that your hubby doesn't enjoy the van - hope you manage to find a solution.

They sell it for what they can get and give you the agreed price, the owner of that one is likely looking at anywhere between 30 and 35 grand.

Sorry you’re selling your Moho but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Most of us are fortunate that both parties enjoy it. All the best. 😌

If you bought it in July last year that should give you some idea of what it's worth. If you bought it from a dealer with a bit of luck the stuff you have added should mean it's similar in value to what you paid as long as it wasn't over the top.
