Help! I'm traveling in France now and it's cold. When I turn up the heater on the Truman Combi, above 2 water starts coming out of the bottom heater duct and appears in the main cabin as the pipe emerges from its waterproof insulating pipe. Maybe the boiler is leaking into the hot air system, it is the lowest duct on the boiler. Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

I guess the question is how much water is coming out?
Is it a stream or condensation being blown out.
If boiler leaking u should hear the pump running to maintain pressure or maybe u have micro switch taps.

Since Sept 2020.
Hmmm. Hope I'm not scaremogering, but water is a product of the combustion of propane (I'm fairly sure) ... so one source might be an obstructed flue not lifting the exhaust gases quickly enough and some condensation occurring. That said if I've understood the construction of the gas burners correctly, they should be sealed from the warm air side of the unit. A bit of grovelling about with a torch and a mirror at the back of it may be prudent.

I rather hoping another funster will be along to explain why this theory is bolleaux, but given the implications of exhaust gases not venting properly thought I'd better say something.

Thanks Trevor, a lot of dismantling lead to a leaking tap in the bathroom dropping water onto the vent pipe. The problem increased when running the heating or running a tap as the pressure in the system increased. Disaster averted!

It would take a major fault for combustion gases to get into the warm air duct, if it happened there would be condensation but far more likely to cause windows to mist up than water in the ducts.

Back home now and problem was found. The union to the hot tap had broken and when the water pump was turned on or the water heating was turned on the increased water pressure created the leak and the water ran down on to the heating vent pipe, hence the false diagnosis. Thanks for the replies.
