Since 2008 & many years tugging
My mate had a bad night last night driving down through Portugal, stopped at an Aire car park, got fed up with cars arriving with couples in them and tissues throw out the windows.

Anyway he went back on the Motorway & spent a very quiet in a parking area, all OK until this morning when he arrived at the next toll booth,.
A bit of a shock, charged double for being on the Motorway more than 12 hours, made an expensive night, €72 Ouch!

Perhaps the people with tissues should have had the flu jab ,they would not have to stop to blow their noses .
Good tip though that toll charge would have bought a lot of beer

Very useful heads up, I presume it must warn you on the toll tickets, but no doubt only in Portugese

We regularly overnight at the Bai du Somme services in France, we would probably go over 12 hours, lets hope the French don't bring in anything similar
