The worst time ever, so sorry. Having gone through the same recently, a couple of phrases helped us:

Don’t think we’re far apart
For every time you think of me
I’m right there in your heart.

Remember between hello and goodbye there was so much love.
Stay strong and remember the good times.

One of our friends has just lost a much loved dog too young and unexpected even though he was operated on and the best treatment. I said you gave him a good life, a chance to fight and when it was not enough, a good death. That’s all you can do. RIP all our little furry friends
