Some funsters will have changed from Disability Living Allowance to PIP.

An extra benefit which is not widely publicised related to reduction in your vehicle excise (tax) charge.

If you have been awarded 8 points or more in relation to mobility you are entitled to a 50% reduction in your vehicle excise charge but you have to apply for it.

The vehicle has to be used for the disabled persons needs.

This has also changed further for vehicles registered after 1st April 2017

hope this is helpful

On DLA with mobility component you can get your tax FREE, so not a real benefit is it? Only on 1 vehicle.
