The new ECU and uprated battery has been fitted and I was hoping to collect the Van today...

However, the auto electrician has found a 100 milliamp constant drain on the Elektroblok 25 amp fuse [2nd in from left] marked 'Grundischt Trittstufe', which translates to 'Basic Step' and is really a spare circuit because we have no electrical step. I suppose Burstner could have wired anything in to it, but does anyone have any thoughts on what might be 'typically' wired into this circuit? Lenny HB and autorouter or any Ixeo 590 Owners

The van is a 1/6/2016 registered Burstner Ixeo Time IT590 Sovereign.

Cheers

marked 'Grundischt Trittstufe'
I think it's 'Grundlicht Trittstufe', (licht = light) which refers to the step illumination light. On mine it is a dim LED light, bright enough to illuminate in darkness but practically invisible in daylight unless you are looking for it. So maybe that's switched on and it's not been noticed.

On mine the light is just inside on the top of the door frame, shining downwards. They might have fitted the step light even if there's no electrical step.

That fuse also supplies Pin 3 on Block 4, so it may be something connected to that.
Thanks, Lenny. The auto electrician doesn't want to start dismantling the fittings to trace the harness [expensive way to make a mess!]. PM sent asking for Udo's email at Schaudt

Thanks for all the replies. The auto electrician has a couple of more things he's going to try, and, in the meantime, I've contacted both Schaudt and Burstner requesting any wiring diagrams, details of what they [Burstner] would typically wire into the Step Fuse.
Baited breath now, and a steadily clicking labour invoice ...
