I hope that my plan to put a Piaggio MP3 in my garage works out before Christmas. They are not the lightest of machines which is why I'm considering VB-Semiair.

Although not in the brochures, I've read somewhere that around 150mm (6'') of lift is possible and hope that might be an easy way of levelling up on pitches which aren't level. An extra benefit.

Does anyone have experience of the Vb-Semiair kit?

Thanks, and Merry Christmas - in case the internet slows down.

VB semi -air. Best addition to my sprinter based A class. Can be of ,limited use to level, but main benefit is ride quality. Impressive improvement - much less roll, sway when passed by big trucks and improved confidence.

Only downside apart from cost (and small weight) is fuel consumption as tempted to drive 10 mph faster as so much more confident.

Had VB SEMI on our Exsis to give more stability when towing, it certainly won’t lift an extra 150mm I could get about 50mm at most.(y)(y)(y)

I fitted the Dunlop system from Airride to my Merc/Hymer at the weekend, very easy fit, not tried it yet but taking it to have tracker fitted so will see what it’s like on the motorway tomorrow

Does anyone have experience of the Vb-Semiair kit?

3-bar pressure raises a typical 3.5T van by 21mm and every bar thereafter by 6-7mm up to a max of 6-bar total.

.......so in theory you should achieve a circa 40-42mm raise at the maximum permissible pressure.

Hope this helps,

Andrew

I had the VP Semiair system fitted on my B544. terrific ride, great for getting on and off ferries - particularly Italian, but no use for levelling on a pitch. Still worth it though. Go for it.

Thanks folks. Definitely going to have it fitted.

Semi air makes a huge improvement to handling but negligible value to levelling
