Hi all,

My Strikeback is beeping 4 times on alarm eddievanbitz when all doors are closed, checked each contact with a magnet and it still beeps.

I’ve had a quick look at the Door contact itself to see if I can access the rear screws so I can bypass each contact and test that way but they look sealed up.

So does anyone know if they are none accessible or are they ran to a central point where if I can access I could bridge and test each contact.

Apart from closing each door, testing with a magnet and not having the huge urge to rip a contact apart and most probs break one.

I have a bike loop and yes the switch is down off and I’ve also plugged the loop in and tested again with the switch up and down.

Did call VB and chap I spoke to set run through their FAQ and any issues to contact them but I work Mon to Fri and don’t get home till 5 so it’s to late to call back.

Plus long drive if the van needs to go back in after only 12 months.

Regards.

Do you have any lockers alarmed if so could it be one of those also what about the bonnet?😊

On my system bike loop switch depressed in at the bottom means loop is active, depressed at the top is inactive. That's different to how you describe your operation, if it makes any difference.

If the bike loop is switched on and not connected mine bleeps when I arm the system😊

Tried loop switch both ways with and without the loop connected plus every contact door, gas and two rear garage doors checked and still beep, beep, beep, BEEEEEEEEEEP.

AHHHHH

The only other thing I can think of is the internal sensor have you tried setting it without that front button once and then back button twice?

Simple answer is no.

When I arm the van it beeps 4 times and I can open a door and alarm does not go off but he I enter the van the internal sensor activates and woks as it should.

So I’m thinking it’s deffo a door contact somewhere but which one as I need to twist the wires together on each contact to test and it works by doing that one at a time I know it’s that specific contact.

Hi there is a detailed description of how to check the contact switches in the PDF you have (y) Its dead easy and is only two screws.

And yes, the bike loop switch should be in at the top when the loop is turned off and unplugged

The office doesn't close till 5:30 should you need to chat to us, is open lunchtimes should that be more convenient to you

If there is something that your confused about, email me eddie@vanbitz.com a picture and I run through it with you

Eddie
