Hello, we have recently purchased a new-to-us Motorhome which has been up-plated to just over 4 tonnes. The V5C document has just arrived, but the Vehicle Category (J) is blank. To apply for a French CritAir sticker, Vehicle Category is a mandatory field. Can anyone advise/confirm what category we need to use? Thanks!

Just put in 'Light Utility vehicles N1' etc. and send the required scan/photo of your V5C. They will sort it out and send your sticker without any problems.
That's what I have done for a VW T6 and a MAN TGE.

Thanks, but it is a coach-built conversion not a panel van conversion. I thought it might still be M1 but wasn’t sure due to the weight being over 3.5T. It is registered as a motor caravan.

From the drop down menus can you find anything better than what I suggested? Yours is not a Passenger car, a Motorcycle, a Moped, a Bus or Coach or a HGV so what else is there other than Light Utility N1?

I trust that you are using the official website to order from and not one of the 'rip-off sites'.

Recently used the website as linked above by rod_vw. Catorigation was, light commercial vehicle N1, most of the questions about emissions etc might not apply. Upload your V5 and they will work it out from that. Took about 3 weeks for my disc to arrive.
If it is over 3.5 tonnes, the same applies, choose your vehicle catagory (HGV M1)? and upload the V5

Thank you. I didn’t see how it could be a commercial category. I’ll go with M1 and see what they say from the V5…

What is the "Serial number" for a non-French vehical (the explanatory notes don't say):

Registration number.
Thanks, but I think in this case philann 's suggestion makes more sense as I have already supplied the registration number in an earlier box on the form.

It's the VIN Number if you use the assistant support for UK it shows Vin number then the explanation it's the Serial number for the form.
