V16 Beacons

Hi.

We have bought our V16 beacon ready for our trip to Spain in March. Instructions are to put it on the car roof - hm even if I could reach the roof - it isn't magnetic!

How are people making provisions for attaching one?

PS I've just realised that it is only mandatory for vehicles registered in Spain but it would be interesting to know how they do it.

Some have both suction & magnetic bases. If desperate we always have Bluetac in the van, a big lump should hold it.

Have a Ducato van conversion so it should fit/magnet somewhere. On various forums have been told as I am not in a Spanish registered vehicle I don't need one that's connected to the 'net.... Seemed like a good idea and might save a trudge down a road with a triangle or two.
