Just download the app. Most of them will have a charge though. Many recommend Nord VPN. I use Express which I have used for years and its dead simple.

50 years of boating, just one on motorhomes.
If its a UK sim, you should be OK without a vpn.
Not in my experience, you are connecting to the mobile providers network under a roaming agreement so the issued IP address of that country which will be detected by the region block.

I sacked ExpressVPN having used it 2 years in favour of NordVPN - it's a better service IMHO. Still have some issues with iPlayer sometimes, but Netflix, Prime, ITV, All4 all good.
Free VPNs ... you get what you pay for ...

Take a look at Tvmucho rather than a VPN.

We used it in Spain and Portugal recently on campsite wifi. Worked very well.

We’re in Murcia area and using a U.K. sim card (Popit mobile) without a VPN connected to ROKU stick , live BBC , ITV , CH4 and many mainstream channels available .
its worked faultlessly

I am incorrect having just checked it. My EE phone in Portugal is issuing a U.K. ip address. It did not in the past but I confess I have not checked for years. My apologies

As has our Popit sim card too Neil. (y)

When the site's Portugese WiFi signal is strong enough. I can get UK TV, going through my Windscribe VPN. It helps to save using up my data. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

The plan we are on is 100gb per month which is ÂŁ25 without restrictions and gives you about 3-4 hours of tv per night over a month
they are bringing out a new plan which is 150gb per month

I think you can check the flag that shows upon your avatar panel. I use SIMs bought in different European countries, and it always shows up as the flag of the SIM country. If I use a Spanish SIM in France, the Spanish flag shows up on here.

Newby to Motorhome but not to traveling, caravaning and camping
I use Tunnel Bear. From France, which works well for security as I have an open Starlink satellite, but to watch anything on Amazon Prime, they know I have a VPN, and always ask me to turn it off! Just like the BBC. Tunnel Bear is cute and I used it before on a normal network.

Yes that’s been recommended to me by several people. So will try that later. I do not really watch much tv at home or when traveling, always too tired. I do not have a SIM because I get everything through Starlink. It gave me great pleasure to cancel my Orange contract that had been useless for so many years. I can get a Starlink for RV but that is more expensive. I use a VPN as Starlink is not secure. Thanks again.
