Adria Twin
I have an Adria Twin and am looking to upgrade my electrical capability to allow me to go 'off grid' more. I'm not too knowledgable about exactly how to do this but I have read about other people in similar situations and they have done this by adding, Lithium batteries, solar panels, an inverter etc ...

I have a couple questions:

Has anybody else done something similar and can give me some advice?

I live in the Midlands, so can you recommend a suitable auto electrician who would be capable of doing the required work?

Thank you

The lithium route with solar an inverter will likely be £3 to £5K if installed by a professional ,so you need to know what you want/ need, could you get away with more lead acid and solar,or a power pack,1 small lithium or 2 big lithium..to work this out you need to know how much power per day u need and how long off grid without moving ,at low sun time of year and high sun time of year

My advice would not to go anywhere near an auto electrician but to first decide how long you want and need to stay off grid, what you need to use and then talk with a reputable company such as Off Grid Solutions in the Reading area.
It is important to get the design of the system correct even if installation is phased to suit funding. Don’t get ripped off. Don’t follow the crowd and get the system YOU want and need.
Do you have a compressor fridge? 12v tv? Coffee machine, air fryer, induction hob, hair dryer, electric bikes etc etc.

Good luck, it’s an amazingly satisfying journey. We are off grid in Norfolk getting hot water and running our three way fridge from solar and get back to 100% every few hours. You certainly don’t need a huge budget any more.

Where in the Midlands ? It's a big area.

If your anywhere near Cannock im happy to chat over a coffee (pint).. :whistle2: (y) I will buy my own..

Lots of advise on here and online / youtube if you want to go the DIY route.. Auto electrician wont be cheap and may not fully understand your requirements, where as more dedicated motorhome / caravan installers could give better advise.

Welcome to the forum.

Due to price involved in doing it right first time, and not having endless niggles after a DIY install (how many threads have touched on this in the last few months?), why not chat to Offgrid Power Solutions (nigelivy & RogerIvy ) about what you might need?

They're not close to you, but well worth the trip as a number of us would attest.
