All the gear, and no idea!
Hi all, we are planning a week along the Moselle in mid June next year and although I’ve been to Cochem on the bike pre Moho ownership, I’ve never really had that much to do with the Moselle, usually always travelling alongside the Rhine. Can you seasoned Moselle travellers give us a steer on best places to stay and towns to see. Many thanks Ady.

Defo Bernkastel. Absolutely lovely.

Really good site a bus ride away or you can cycle into town

Trier is worth a visit too.

Many lovely towns along that river. Great wine too!!

Saarburg, Trier, Berncastle, Kochem are all top places
Having said which, the best way to do the Moselle is on a bike !
Especially as there are a number of hostelries en route that MUST be visited

Schengen is only worth a visit if you want to be able to enter 3 countries within 10 mins.
Trier is facinating, if you have an interest in Roman history.

Agree with all above including the cycling but some nice small places too. We had a lovely afternoon in Zell. The only place that disappointed was Traben-Trabrach. I hope we just missed the nice bit.

We stopped at Saarburg for a few nights last month and loved it.

There is a good Stellplatz at Binheim right on the riverside.

The village is reasonably pretty without being “tourist” attracting and has a couple of bars and restaurants.
