Ulys Classic e-toll badge

Hi Everyone,

I'm sure this may have been discussed before, but as a new member, I wondered if anyone had any experience of the Ulys e-toll badge? I'm thinking of sending for one for my next trip through France into Spain. Their website says there's no charge except for two euros for each month that the badge is used, plus the tolls you incurred of course. I'm taking the car down this trip so it would be very handy to just drive through the Tele-Peage gate without having to struggle at toll booths with a right hand drive vehicle.

I have one I swap between the car and van, works a treat in France . Haven't used it in Spain.

I am surprised a commercial company is using the expression 'e-toll' as that is the name chosen by the Polish government for the GPS-based system for road charging introduced in mid-2021.

Maybe the commercial company adopted the name before Poland.

Does the Ulys e-toll system pay for charges on the Polish e-toll GPS system? I would be surprised.

I have just applied for a Ulys e-toll badge but apparently my bank ( Nationwide ) doesn't accept direct debits from SEPA which is required by Ulys - I've asked Ulys if there is another DD option but yet to hear back. has anyone else had this problem ?

My CC provider has given me an IBAN number to use so I shall update my application with that and see if it's accepted

All set now, the "badge" arrived this morning, no instructions, just "plug and play" I guess. Where do you stick yours ? ( L or R, top or bottom of screen ) and does the over - cab bed area affect the signal ? I'm setting off next week for 6 weeks in France, Spain and Portugal - soloing for the first time. I am looking forward to being a nomad and just wandering except for some time with friends en route.

Mine sits at the top of the windscreen behind the mirror, in the black shaded area, always worked fine. Although there is always some trepidation when you approach the first toll barrier each time we go across.

Just applying for Ulys but confused. Want France, Spain, Portugal and italy but the Italy option seems to disappear on the application? Now have a contract excluding Italy, and a follow up email asking for confirmation. Should I have ordered 3 badges instead of one
