I am experiencing an issue with my Truma Combi Diesel 6 heater. Yesterday, I only had the water boiler turned on when white smoke started billowing from the exhaust vent At the same time, the wastewater tank was overfilled, causing water to leak from the safety valves. I'm unsure if these two events are related. When I turned off the boiler, the smoke stopped.

After that, I attempted to turn on the heating using the Truma CP panel, but the heater did not respond, showing W255 HI reset the Truma CP Plus panel, which resulted in all symbols disappearing, leaving only the clock visible. I also disconnected the leisure battery, but that did not help. I tried to reset the Truma heater, but I cannot find a reset button on this model, or it may not have one. The fuses on the heater appear to be fine. Does anyone have any suggestions or explanations for what might have happened?

I had a diesel VW Touran that would create large amounts of white smoke when I stopped at traffic lights in cool, damp weather. It was horrendous. For my car it was caused by over fuelling due to a faulty sensor.

MaidinDevon had something similar it was a loose pipe connector allowing air to be sucked in with the desiel. Check your pipes

My unit is a JP Diesel copy. As Lois said, it looks as though it was air being drawn in with the Diesel that caused billowing white smoke.

I am not entirely confident it's fixed, because I had another episode while on electric, on hook up. That shouldn't be able to happen, as the heater was definitely on electric only.

I cant help with tge other issues, as its a different system.

Good luck, I hope you manage to get it sorted.
