Hi,

I have had our heating on for a few days at various temperatures.

Went out today and on return found that the fan was still running even after I had switched off the heating and water several hours ago.

Reading the manual there is a protection system for over heating and that involves pressing in a switch if the protection has been triggered.

Anyone had this? I have let it run for some time now and will probably leave it till the morning when I disconnect the EHU before pressing the switch (looks like the sort of thing you need to press using a screwdriver down a short 'tunnel' in the casing.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

We have an older 2005 Truma E400 and the fan runs for only a few minutes after switching off

Ours used to. New van so may have to refer to the dealer. Away for a week more though. I think the over-heat has tripped in so I am letting it run for a while.

Thanks anyway

I have the same problem but I. Ever had the heating on. I have switched the CPU off for fear of flattening the battery.

Still Kaput!!

Dealer has contacted Truma service (????) dept who emailed them a possible fix - no go.

So I asked dealer to get the Truma tech dept to phone me so I can sit over the unit and they could talk me through it all. That was about 2.00pm yesterday. No phone call yesterday or today. Dealer chased and they said they " would get round to it when they can! That is NOT service by any definition.
So, brand new unit fails a few weeks after first use - and they'll call a disgruntled customer when they can get round to it. WTF??? A disgruntled customer on a trip with no heating or hot water. One who has had to buy a fan heater to substitute for a duff TRUMA unit

There is very little customer care in motorhoming it seems from the big names.

Rant over.
