Hi,

We have just started looking at the possibility of buying a motor home. Our neighbours are agreeable to us keeping it on the drive and there are no local authority restrictions that we can find.

Owing to our drive having a shared entrance we will be governed to keep the size down to a footprint of 7m x 2.4m (allowing for wheely bin access.)

Having looked at daytime/nighttime plan views on various manufacturers websites I would like to hear from people in respect of travel and living limitations with a medium to large dog.

Q1 - We will most likely be restricted to a two berth unit with two belted travel seats. Does anyone have experience of attaching a safety tether for a travel harness?

Q2 - Our dog is a Golden Retriever, can anyone in a similar situation with a similar sized dog offer their experiences and recommendations?

Thanks in advance and stay safe.

Hi Rex,

You'll no doubt find somewhere to tether a leash to. Our dog loved the motorhome, hope yours does too.

If you go for 4 belted seats, easy in a 7m mh, then you have somewhere to attach harnesses. We travel with two 25kg border collies. One likes to look at the viewtravels on a covered seat, the other doesnt and travels on the floor, both with Julius K9 harnesses attached to seat belt buckles.
