Can anyone tell me what the current FCDO advice for France is. I have looked at the info but it doesn't come out and say yes you can or cant go. I was just booking my travel insurance with stay sure when I noticed on their site that France may not be covered and that I should check with the FCDO. Any info will be greatly appreciated

Literally just renewed our travel insurance this morning with insure and go. They made no mention of France being not covered. We’re even covered for Covid. I have hazardous activity added to ours along with winter sports cover £165.00 which I thought reasonable. That’s for both of us.

Thanks glenn2926. When I contacted them they just said that it depends on what the current Covid advice is from the FCDO. When I asked him he would not comment other than to check the FCDO web site. As far as I am aware travel is permitted to France as long as Covid injections are up to date.

I booked the tunnel for September last night and as far as I could see double jabbed and declaration filled in there’s no problem entering France. To come back, negative test taken over there within three days of return and a day two test purchased here for two days after returning. I have however seen that actually using said day two test is not required. Very strange rules at the moment. Makes one wonder if it’s just a money making scam.

I have got admit I think someone is making an awful lot of money out of it. I just wish they would come out and directly say how it is. I am going to book up and just see what happens. Cheers

The FCDO do not currently have any advice about travel to France, but that does not mean to say that it won't change.

The bit that gets me is that we need a test before getting back to the UK and again on day two, whereas France and Spain will let us in with double covid jab, it's time that we fall in line with the other countries

No. You don't expect the stay-at-home taxpayers to fund it do you?

"You must book your tests before you travel and leave enough time for them to be delivered to your address in England."

Is it right you need to book your day 2 test before you travel. We are looking at 6 weeks and may not be required by then:ROFLMAO:.Thought you could book it before you return?
