we have Carthago Malibou 640 which we love. Anyone that owns on these will know the toilet tucks away when using the shower. But most the time the toilet is in its normal place.

Back to my original quote “Too hot in the shower room”. There is quite a lot room where the toilet is and just behind it is the boiler. Very often when we have the heating ,the temperature in the shower room is just to hot. Is there any way stopping the heat from the boiler coming in to the shower?

There are slots in the wall between the boiler and toilet compartment but you may have to be careful not to block them all as the boiler needs general cooling,
Also the heating ducts have flaps that can be. Closed if necessary,

Thanks, but there is very wide space between the boiler and the toilet. I have decided to open the toilet door a little !

Our bathroom gets too hot when the heating on because the vent in the bathroom has no closing flap. It is not designed to have one. We could swap the vent from the bathroom for another vent that does close but our answer is just the leave the bathroom door open a bit.

I can think of far worse things than a hot shower room. I have had a look at ours this morning. I definitely would not block the vent in the wall between the heater and the toilet space, it looks to me like one of the return routes for the air being circulated by the heater.

The reason this small space gets warm is because the major heating ducts pass through it on their way to the living space outlets. Without crawling around to check I can feel 3 large duct pipes going through the area. It might be possible to lag these to reduce the heat escaping but I am not going to bother. During the day we leave the sliding door open anyway, it makes opening the fridge easier and I have not noticed a particular heating problem.
