I like McGregor.....but Boorman, no thanks.

After testing both the BMW and a KTM they originally planned to use KTM’s for the first adventure, but KTM wouldn’t supply the bikes and kit for the show.

BMW obliged and the rest is history....wonder what happened to the bloke from KTM who declined.

I believe the money from sales of the BMW GS that the show created, allowed the development and production of the BMW 1000RR.

I like McGregor.....but Boorman, no thanks.

I am the other way round, met them both at Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years back when they had just done their second trip and wasn't impressed by Ewan McGregor, totally loved himself, whereas Charley Boorman was a lovely chap, very down to earth and really friendly.

Charlie was made from the same lump of clay as James Whitham..
Was with Charlie at the NEC a few years ago and he took time out for a couple of young 'uns,, Even had one wearing his bash hat
James is just the same,, Time for every one and always ready with a hand shake and a smile ( how on EARTH he became friends with Fogarty who I witnessed pushing a young fan away saying 'I'me busy' when he was asked for an Autograph

We went to a wine and nibbles do when he was right up there..
No one even tried to speak to him apart from the Ducati suits ( but EVERY ONE was all over Michaela who seemed a very nice lady indeed )
