Away in the van for a few days this week, when I turned on the water pump , water started leaking out of the surge damper at quite a rate. It must be a hair line crack but I can't see it. I think it may have froze in th bad weather .
I did drain the system as well.
I've managed to detach the surge damper , I just need to locate one to replace it.
I'm hoping it will be an easy fix. I live in London and need to locate a dealer.
Any advice would be appreciated re a dealer and attaching it .
I must admit before this I didn't know what as surge damper was but I now know.

If it's a Fiamma one, I have a used one spare.

Thank to for the response but the one I need to replace is not a fiamma, in fact there's not a name on it. I've looked on line and it appears the Whale brand is the one to go for.
I will ring Johns Cross on Monday to see if they sell them . Many thanks @icantremember

Water often remains in these reservoirs after draining down, so you are right to assume that this may be frost damage.
You could blank off the pipe to it until you can get a replacement. These devices are not essential, they smooth the flow when the pump is running.

They do really help though. I would always fit one as it is cheap and simple to do

if its a 15mm thread you can use a stainless steel one form screwfix usually fitted to under sink water heaters but i think they are more exspensive

Sorry I thought the thread title was about a French Motorhomer !!!
