Anyone ever overnighted on the byway right by Stonehenge before as there we a dozen or so modern mohos there today ?

New Age Vanlifers favourite spot, very friendly bunch I am told, they use wood burners, dont park too close as one went up in flames last year I believe. They arranged a crowd funding website to raise enough money to get it replaced, so hearts in the right place.(y)
Let us now how you get on if you do stay.

Stayed there a couple of years ago and was a good place to overnight with a view of the stones. They're is a gate next to the main entrance which takes you along a path close to the stones if you don't want to pay the entrance fee.

Just pull in directly off the A303 ? Is there enough space to turn around ?

Definitely better to come in from the larkhill end. Have a look at Google satellite view and you'll see the way in. That end is probably the best end to park too, as it's flatter.

And also preferable to having an artic removed from your bedroom if attempting to turn in from the A303

Having read the above I want to be there. Love staying by our local stone circle, Castlerigg set amongst the beautiful Keswick fells.
