Any tips on how to find the SCR fuse on a Peugeot cab Elddiss Encore 2016.

Going to have a look at the weekend but I’m hoping the power of the forum will save me time.

I am not familiar with that specific make/model but as a general rule of thumb there are usually two, one near the engine battery and one near the habitation battery.

I will probably keep pulling fuses until I get a result.

Any idea what Amp size would be or wouldn’t be, I’m thinking nothing below 20.

Fuse ratings depend on cable size, in the UK this is normally measured in mm2, a 20 amp fuse might protect a circuit rated at 30 amps, you want the fuse to blow before the cables are damaged.
This site will give you an insight into cable size and appropriate protection.

The split charge system may be built into the PSU depending on the make and model of the unit that is fitted in your Motorhome.

Yeh I’m sort of expecting that to be honest, must still be fused though.

I’m trying to turn it off to get the most out of my B2B.

Good question.

It’s fitted to an Elddis Encore 2016, looks like this.
I’m trying to identify the model and get hold of a diagram.

Nice one, going to see if google can come up with a diagram.

Thanks for that.

There is a 15 amp fuse named car on the psu that looks like it could be the split charge.

I’m thinking that because they use these BCA units in caravans as well the car fuse would be for the vehicle switch that you use when towing to charge your leisure bat.

Will get the metre on it this morning.

In the mean time is there any funsters out there that can confirm what the fuse named car is for, or they have any understanding of it at all.

Cheers

The BCA web site has a contact number and lists an service engineer contact , It could be worth a call to them. You also need to make sure that you do not loose the operation of step retraction (if fitted) and the 12v feed to the fridge with the engine running (if a 3 x way fridge) if you remove a fuse/wire.

So did you discover if the Car fuse is the fuse for the split charge? And if you disable it does the fridge work on 12v when travelling?
I am awaiting delivery of a dc-dc charger.
Many thanks for this thread BTW.
