Looking to switch two sources of audio to one set of speakers, so need to switch one input off and one on or the other way round. found this Amazon product ASIN B000XT8XHUlisted as 2 input 1 output on amazon but 2 output 1 input on ebay!
am i right in guessing it will work either way?

We do the opposite in our kitchen one input 2 sets of speakers but have on either one the other or both (I don't think the one in your link would do that). I think for what you want it would be fine. As a matter of interest what are the two inputs?

Have rear Lounge speakers connected to cab radio/dvd.
RCA lead to rear tv gives dvd sound tv and speakers but
Tv only ie satellite viewing gives sound on tv only.
Idea was switch box so tv output can also go to rear speakers

Hi do you have a Headphone socket on the TV normally a 3.5mm 3 pole and if have a 3.5m AUX input on the radio, this is how we connect our TV to MH Radio, if you don't do if right you can damage to Radio output
