So knowing nothing about solar panels other than I need to buy one can anybody tell me please -

1. There‘s a lead with plug on the roof, are they all the same?
2. MH is 8 years old, so would a newer panel be better than the last one?
3. How easy is it to fit extra panels?
4. How do I get my hands on the scrotes who nicked mine at Knockhill last week?

Someone knicked it, what mess did they leave?

Connectors are fairly standard MC4.
New one may be slightly smaller, performance will be a bit better but hardly noticeable.
Very easy to fix extra panels you can buy 2,3&4 way connectors which you just plug the panels into.

Give them their due they seem to have done a number of MH’s around us but no damage, I noticed once home and assumed it had blown off on the way home.

But then remembered commenting on “no solar input” on the Sunday late afternoon, had a close look and realised the plug is intact and it’s unlikely all 4 fixings would give way at once.

Then the guy next to us text me to say both himself and another had lost theirs, so the only conclusion I can reach is that they were all nicked while we were trackside.

Strange, you wouldn't think it was worthwhile but some scrotes will knick anything.
I keep thinking that, but I spoke to another funster today who told me of similar.

It never fails to amaze me what people will nick.

It’s not overly taxing fitting solar.
I replaced my single panel with two new ones.
Fitted bigger cable as well.
