So, Can These Be Used?

Yes it can be used with a mppt controller, I have two on the roof, and not the only one.

What's the difference between these and normal ones, please? Just being inquisitive :)

Much better panels in many ways if you got the space. Weight is relative to the frame and glass size. However, a single 400w panel will be lighter than 4 100w panels.

I’m currently searching for 50mm x 50mm angle aluminium to fix them ( 2 ) down with.
What size Victron controller would I need to put 2 of these panels through?

You will need a 60 amp controller. It will work with the 50 amp as well, but, you will be clipping about 130-150w on full power.
So best is a 60 amp and wired in parallel.

Used these last time, best price I could find at the time, great service and delivery.

Probably already mentioned..... Match the controller to the peak output. Domestic panels operate at higher voltage than the usual caravan/MH panels and should be capable of more amps....

If you have a Sign Company nearby, ask them, we used to have skip loads of offcuts.

I found out that cheapest was on Ebay. I bought 4 x 1.0m lengths for under £20 delivered when I was fitting two additional panels. Some suppliers will cut to specified lengths, but that would cost more.

She’s a big one!
Here it is hiding behind the 100w panel that’s going back up once the 425w one is in position.

Proportionally it looks like it takes less space than 4 x 100 panels aswell
