We are now in lock down.
Having made the decision to remain here rather than endure 20hrs on a ferry or drive through northern Italy due to the Mrs having had pneumonia twice.
We are now only allowed to leave the camp site and travel to the local town which is about 5kms away for essentials, they have not stipulated exactly what that means, but we are assuming they mean beer and wine.
As expected the Germans have resorted to a new plan, they are now drinking at breakfast rather than waiting for lunch time.
The Italians are constantly on their phones, the Austrians have gone home and we have not seen the Frenchies for a couple of days now.

And it's only 22degrees.

:hot:

Sounds like everybody is conforming to stereotype! Good luck and stay safe.
It's really funny. There are a few people that are keeping to themselves, but the German lads have just gone on the piss.
I filled out a form this morning that I must carry which allows me to travel in to town. When I showed it to them they just raised their cans and said "cheers".
Having said that, they are nice blokes and completely laid back.

Absolutely. Management are great, it's our third winter here.

And it might be our first Easter:rofl:
I didn't realise you wintered there. :) What's the weather normally like in say Jan or Feb?

obanvanman good luck with your return journey plans, it might be difficult to plan with the lock downs up northern borders and with the panic going on, every week things change.
The site looks ideal, do you need an ACSI card for decent long term rates.
We wouldn't mind being there for the winter, its a dream we have always had of spending xmas/new year there, just love Sicily, but not so much the narrow roads in some towns.
Have fun

We pay 9 euros per night near the beach plus leccy which is minimal. I think it stays that low if you stay for a month or more. It's very relaxed, bread every morning, veg 3 times a week and fish man most mornings. Own toilet, some with sinks.
You are correct, we never take the van in to a new village, too many balconies to contend with.
You can always PM me for a chat.
Kev
PS Don't tell everybody..Benidorm it ain't and we like it that way.

This year it has been amazing, hardly any rain at all.
Having said that, 2 years ago it rained quite a bit in February and was a lot colder.

My mate lives on seil. After speaking to him I think you have had the better weather this winter. Don’t bother rushing back the weather in the north of the U.K. is still pretty crap. More snow on Ilkley moor this morning. Hope you don’t suffer too much having to stay in the sun drinking cheap beer and wine during lockdown.??

We have lots of family who live in Oban I can confirm you are very lucky to be in scicly as the weather has been really bad in Oban as you probably know plenty of rain every day ?

I am very sorry, but you must have the wrong Oban.
It's been a while since we were last home but we both distinctly recall sunny days, warm calm nights and of course unicorns frollicking in the glen.

Andy Morris, he’s just built his house. Just down the Road from the pub near the bridge. He has a motorhome. Wildaxe.
