Morning all
We have finally got away in our new to us 2008 Burstner Solano T725 and have just noticed that when using the shower the water runs along the raised ridge over the small ridge and runs down behind the toilet and along the floor behind the water tank before running outside? We are fairly level ? Has anyone else had this problem in the past? I was hoping to put photos on but don't see how to add

No there is a strip down the door? The water seems to be running building up and running along and once its built up it goes over the half round ridge then down towards the toilet where it runs back to the wall behind the toilet down then runsdown the inner floor till it comes out between the battery box and passenger door? Is there something missing on ours between the toilet and upper shower tray??

We also have a Burstner Solano T725 but ours is a couple of years later at 2010. I have noticed that the 2008 & 2009 models have a different layout to ours in that the toilet/shower room has swapped places with the fridge freezer & kitchen.

This is our van filmed at Tyne Valley Motorhomes before we bought it from them...

The difference in the layout our shower/toilet room is quite striking!

The two red arrows show fold-out screens to use if you dont want to clean up after using the whole room as a wet room. But the important bit is that the whole of the wet room floor is swept up the walls at least 50mm above the level of the drain.

Assuming that on your image, the panel I have marked with a green arrow, swings across to meet the curved shower screen, as said above by Ironside , should there not be a magnetic strip on its edge to hold it in place against the curved part?

You could try rolling up a small microfibre cloth and place it against the bottom edge of the flat panel once it is in place against the curved panel.
When you have finished, wring the cloth out and use it to wipe down the shower.

Another tip we have discovered is put your heating on for five minutes after you have finished and close all the heater tube vents other than the one in the shower room so you get the shower room warm and dry it out. The built in vent will allow any condensation to escape.

Good Luck

Barry

Barry this is the gap between the flat shower door and floor I don't think the magnetic strip is the issue? Water runs down the door and down to the ridge as discussed earlier.

Yes, I can see the problem there!
I think I would try something like a piece of rubber shower mat that has suckers on the back. Stick it to the flat shower panel at the bottom so that there is enough material to bridge the gap and also lie flat on the upper horizontal level, forming a radius to 'sweep' the water off or...
Second idea.. a length of plastic angle something like this..

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-...0001&campid=5338547443&icep_item=263769269873

Stick some foam or flat rubber on one external faces that will form a seal against the upper horizontal level and lie it there immediately behind the door to sweep water off before it reaches the ridge?
Are you talking about a lot of water draining through to the outside or just a few drops?

Doesn't solve the problem but if only a few drops perhaps a couple of sheets of kitchen towel right in the corner to absorb it?

Is there enough room to stand beside the toilet whilst someone else is showering to see what happens from that side?

Barry great minds think alike? I ordered some clear pvc flexible sheet that I'm hoping to fix to the bottom of the door fingers crossed. Thanks very much for all your input.

ours is the same I run a bead of silicon by the toilet at an angle which if a small amount does go that way it runs back into the tray, very rare it gets wet though🤔

I see from your photos that you have some type of edging down you flat door? I don't have this(but I don't think that will make a difference) and you also seem to have some type of edging on the bottom of your door? Or is that the mastic you where on about? It was our first time out in the van and i know i was very slightly nose down some maybe if I'm a bit more fussy next time with leveling it will help.
In the meantime I ordered some clear flexible pvc which I intended to fit to the bottom of the door so the water runs off better.
How long you had your van? Are there any other silly thing/problems that you have come across so I can keep an eye out please. We are new to this game but have been caravaning for the last 26 years I thought I knew everything about camping but this has been a steep learning curve

The flat door has the opposite magnetic strip to hold the doors together when closed, our bathroom is on the same side as the hab door so nose down should be ideal as the water runs to the back of the shower.
