Not Long Enough...!!
As we are unsure when Flights are allowed for us Tourists to get back to Australia. We are thinking about a Tour Island Hopping UK.

So going to get a smaller Van to do this. Thinking of getting a ex Mini Bus, which has a wheelchair lift, so if we keep it long term it covers future problems. So say around 10k for vehicle and looking at costs we reckon about 8k to build with all new parts and appliances.
Or do we just go for a proper Motorhome.

Which ever the vehicle has to be Automatic and have Toilet/Shower.

I'm experience 10k is the sinking sand ground.

Old enough to be knackered but not old enough to walk away.

Hard to find decent vans at that price. Minibus are better tbh. Check the speed limiter can be removed and it's not over 3.5t even though it's mwb!

Cheers James

I'd say £10k for the van, is the bare minimum and frankly for £8k for the fit out means its going to be a very basic plywood job that you'll do yourself.

For a lot less work and grief you can probably buy an old factory built one for that money, and if you can add another £10k you can get something quite good

at your stated budget 18k you will be unlikely to find an automatic motorhome

The cost for vans/ minibuses at the moment is astronomical , although finding a coachbuilt with wheelchair access is chicken teeth category .
Self build is very time consuming and resale is not the best . Tricky position
