San Marino

Travelling back from Peloponnese within the next couple of weeks and looking for a quick but worthwhile route up from Ancona to Switzerland. Any views on San Marino, is it worth a visit, and recommended stops there as varied reviews, thanks in advance

Been to San Marino a few times, yeah well worth a visit but what we do is park on the aire in Rimini, very safe close to town center, with wardens there all the time, then get a tour bus from outside the railway station , not a lot of money and they run regularly.

Nothing special in San Marino.

If you want to stay overnight you can park on the car park near the cable car which takes you to the castle.

San Marino very touristy but worth a visit just to say you've been there. Walk along the city walls around the castle is nice if you have the weather

We used the sosta near to the funicular, free servicepoint there.
