Day two in the refurb lazy start to the day as all the bits and pieces are in the workshop undergoing the face lift

Went out for a few hrs and came back to the pelmets and bedroom curtains being installed
The slide trim presented every one with a new challenge, double sided tape holding all the hardwwod trim in place, not a screw to be seen, fair play to Trevor who met the task with enthusiasam, and pulled off what i thought was going be a bugger of a job with great sucsess

Funny pat of the day was seeing a young lad beaten by a cushion:Doh: as a a layman it apperad as though to get the perfect cushion, the foam needs to be 8 times bigger than its cover:Eeek:
He lost to a submission in round one, Intervension by one of the older hands had the foam firmly put in its place

Duggie (see pic) was having a ball with the folding bed settee as i popped in and out of the shop, one time he was on top, next the settee had him in an arm lock but again experiance won through:thumb:
Final fit tomorrow should have us on our way by afternoon,
Ive said it befor but will say it again, so far so very very good:thumb:
SWMBO is over the moon with it all, especially with a new roller blind bought today in Birmingham to replace the small Venician blind, an almost perfect colour match to one of the fabrics used:thumb: If I hadnt said you would have thought it was made here at CareAvan
More later

Sincer thanks to Paul at CareAvan for allowing the intrusion of me and my camera into the workshops
He did say if I managed to get any pics of his staff working I'd get a discount:Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

are we sure hes not going to sell it - you know these designer people tell you to go neutral with the colour scheme to get a good sale

I do like the new look though:thumb:

are you having new carpet fitted as well Geo ?
Looks great with a more modern colour scheme we have often said that is what we do with ours, rather than changing the RV just change the decor.

Looking good Geo :thumb:

Geo ,

We want to change our U shaped dinette area to a sofa in white leather to match existing.
Were you happy with the work that Careavan did (pm me if needs) and I assume they made the sofa semi sectional to be able to get it in .

Hi Larry Very happy with Careavan, Paul and his team worked very well for us, Paul only gets a mention cos hes the boss, his team did very well :Rofl1:
The settee was not made by Care-a-van, it is the pull out bed/settee as fitted by Damon just re covered

For what its worth a lot of folk have simply bought a settee new, a lot do now come sectional, but you would need to check

I saw some leather work being done in Care-a-vans workshop that I deemed reasonably satisfactory I have yet to see any company match the original makers quality of fit in leather, It might just be me, But I can always seem to pick fault when a re cover is done in leather, having said that I cant wrap a parcel,

YOU ARE A DISGRACE. A TRAITOR OF THE FIRST ORDER. SHOOTING IS TOO GOOD FOR YOU.

At least here, 'er indoors will not see your obscene pictures so I am safe.

I didn't spot the date, I just read the contents and started shaking, all over.

But all this does is show just how irresponsible you were, only Jim, may Allah smile on him eternally, can erase the time bomb you left ticking.

I hope this is an example to all who post first and think second.

Think twice, post once.

I was going to post pictures of my refurb when it's done in 10 days time. Mine is being done by Tappers, I did ask Careavan for a quote but they cocked up and never sent the quote so I went for the one that did.
