Rhein falls campsites

If you’re happy ‘wildcamping’ you can go to the car park at the falls and stop there overnight. We were there about 3 weeks ago. We didn’t stop overnight but could have done.
We paid 4 euros at the ticket office, then walked down to the falls … wondered what the payment was for … then realised there was a different route for those who pay, so walked down again … well worth it as you get very close to the water
Best not to do it twice as it’s a long way down, but I’m sure the exercise did us good 🫤🫤🫤

Thanks Larry,I’m heading down that way tomorrow from Nancy ,I have a 8 metre mh with a trailer and motorcycle,is it easy to get in and out of the car park and is it secure?

Don't overnight at the car park. I followed the blurb in my Camperstop book which quoted about £10 IIRC. The next morning when we came to leave it set us back £37 after the exchange rate. The annoying thing is that there was a super aire about 15K away.

And don't forget that the main access is in Switzerland so you'll need a vignette if you're going on motorways.

We left motorhome on site and went in friends car so not sure.

We stayed on the aire/car park here and cycled to the Rheinfalls:

Very pleasant ride there and back and a decent place to stop overnight for just 5 euros.

Easy enough to get in and out of the car park, but best avoid a weekend when it would be busy. It’s not a secure car park but was busy during the day when we were there and it’s not near any towns with ne’er do wells, though of course they could always drive their if so minded.
