Hi Guys

For a friend, I have been trying to sort out the wiring for the control and display panel on a Rimor Europeo 50, as I wrote in the Rimor forum. I now know that the existing panel is defunct, with parts missing, so have been trying, unsuccessfully, to google a replacement.
I have made the assumption that some of you self-builders will have installed a (or some) display panel(s) to monitor water levels, battery voltages, etc, as well as having the required switches to isolate various circuits. Can you give me some pointers, please as to where I might be able to buy such a panel?

Many thanks

John

How big / extensive a panel do you want.

There are sellers in eBay who will make you a custom panel.

Cheers James

Thanks for the tip Jamesh . I just thought there may be one or two people in the sel-build community who had put in the sort of panel found in most motorhomes, as I put in my op.

I don't have the defunct panel in front of me, but from memory, it enabled the switching of power to lights, heating, water pump, 12V sockets. It also had the facility to monitor fresh and grey water levels, plus the voltage in the two batteries. Now the Rimor is a 1998 or 99 vintage, so a direct replacement is not possible, hence the reason for my appeal. Plus, the price of a similar, but not a direct replacement Rimor panel is close to £600.

I'll do a search on e-bay to see what comes up.

My self build didnt have any type of panel just a fuse block split charge relay and a couple of gauges one voltage and one for waste and water and some switches

Have a look at the apuljackengineering.co.uk website they may be able to help with a repair or replacement.

Thanks Geoff, I sent them an email last night after I searched through ebay and found they deal with ArSilicii panels. Unfortunately, I only have the display panel and not the panel which, I think, should do all the control functions (perhaps an AL310)

our reich e box packed up last year burstner dealer wanted 2k for a new one so i looked at rewiring my own system. I could replace all the functions but would have lost the led screen as a source of info however most could be replaced by gauges only things i hadnt worked out how to connect was the tank levels, which i would have gone without initially but im sure i would have found suitable replacements.
luckily applejacs came to my rescue with a repair and upgrade to my original box
the main functions of most systems is a mains charger, a split charger relay ,an amp meter and shunt, some fuses and a main switch some also incorperate the 240 system none of which is rocket science to replicate

John, have you looked at the leisurelines.net site for a complete replacement system if needed.
Hi again Geoff,

I have looked at Leisurelines web site and can't find anything suitable. Rimor / AeSilicii parts aren't common, unfortunately.

Thanks for your comments mitzimad . I am in the difficult position where someone has hacked away some of the components and I have no idea how anything is supposed to fit together. Some of the circuits seem to work, but in a way which just doesn't seem right. There are no fuses, as far as I can see - and reading the French language manual it appears that the electronics within the panel provided over- and under-voltage protection.

So far, I have been unable to trace the supply to the heating, the two water tank levels and the Thetford. I think I have found one of the fridge 12V supplies. I have available to me a generic 4-way switch and fuse panel, but there is no provision on it for level (tank and battery volts) indicators.

Put an alert on ebay for your part umber and hey presto you may find one. I found a 20 year old PlugIn systems model brand new, un used for £80 and lives in my garage just in case.

Thanks mitzimad I'll try looking for boat stuff later, once we've celebrated out anniversary (so probably tomorrow)

Thanks for your suggestion Jev88 I will give that a try, but ArSilicii systems are not very common. I have tried googling for control and display panels, but will try a more specific search tomorrow
