how to remove rear wheel 2005 geist touring 65 motorhome

Sort of flippant reply but why not jack it up and undo the bolts? Is there a reason why that can’t be done?

See posts below👍👍

The issue the OP may be worrying about is that the wheels on the Geist are partly covered by the bodywork but in reality I believe that there is sufficient clearance to just jack up and remove as normal.

When you jack the body up more of the wheel will be visible but you may have to rotate the wheel to gain access to all the wheel bolts/nuts.
This is a Geist Touring 65

If wheel part covered jack vehicle up from the chassis (if fiat chassis) and axle will drop showing more wheel. Don’t jack under axle.

Hi thanks for all suggestions constructive and flippant, the problem is not enough room between body and hub to remove 15" wheel, ended up deflating wheel used 2 10 ton trolley jacks to remove wheel but cannot fit new 16" wheels with BFG all terrain tyres because they are1.5cm wider tyres when deflated annoying thing is once the wheels are on the hubs they will not foul the body, the inner wheel arches also have pipes running against the arches so restricting room, mechanic suggests only way is to drop suspension and shocks to get enough height to clear the rear arch to put rear wheels on,these are original wheels and tyres so have never been removed before

If you do that then What do you do if you have a puncture 🤔

that is why I was asking,M25 2am raining and wind, breakdown turn up,no chance of getting original wheek off never mind flash 16" so will just get the van to nearest garage, whoever thought it was a good idea to have lower rear wheel arches never thought this through

Welcome.
It has to be jacked up using chassis not the axle and probably both sides at once to gove most room. Then you should be able to tip bottom of the wheel out and thread over top of hub.

you would think so,tyrefitters tried this eventualy 2 of them managed to get old wheel off after deflating tyre but no chance of getting 16" one on even after deflating hence the option of releasing suspension to get more room

Well, now you've explained the problem it would seem that unless you are prepared to dismantle the suspension if you get a puncture or modify the bodywork and also re-route the pipes they're just not going to fit.

......whoever thought it was a good idea to have lower rear wheel arches never thought this through
.
Isn't it more a case of whoever thought of fitting 16" wheels and wider tyres hadn't thought it through?

If the extra clearance needed is minimal could you trim the inner lip of the wheel arch?

jack vehicle on the chassis until wheels about 3 inch off the ground, then use a small jack between the chassis and axle to force the wheel down, worked for me putting 16 inch BFG on a swift escape.
