Rear view camera issue

Morning all. On our recently purchased MH is a rear view camera. Fine so far then, but it sits clipped over the fitted vehicle rear view mirror. I have to say the view I find to be less than clear and was wondering if there was a protective film on it which needs to be got off. Before I scratch the dam thing to oblivion could anyone advise me if I'm running a fools errand trying to find the protective film or if there are adjustments I can easily make.

There are adjustments to the settings, but they are very cheap and show that, often the camera aren’t brilliant either if you are used to a OE one in your car.
