Rapido Serie 7 700FF (2012) advice

My search for a replacement m/h has thrown up the Rapido 700FF.
It seems to have everything I need, but I am concerned about the drop-down bed. It is listed as electrical, and I have doubts about the reliability of these.
Does anyone know whether this can be operated manually instead?
I asked a dealer who has one in stock and he said yes. Not that I doubt what a dealer tells me but...
It's too far away to go and look for myself (180 miles) and I can't find one closer.

Why not try the 'Rapido Owners Group UK' Facebook group - there are about 1,000 members and it's very active. However, the group is closed, but requesting membership is often approved in minutes.
