Rain rain and more blooming rain

We have had enough of it down on Bella vista Manilva so we are going to move north tomorrow , in the search of better weather . We catch the ferry at Santander next Wednesday so can any one recommend a nice site about 5 or 6 hours drive away from here . I know about camping caseres anyone know of any others around that area ? Sort of on the route to Santander ?

If you like birds Camping Monfrague south of Plasencia is interesting, visitor centre and viewpoint South of site, as is the town of Plasencia.
Merida has lots of Roman stuff but I think just an aire, no site.
Free aire in Zafra close to centre is OK for visiting the town.
Couple of sites in Salamanca, worth a visit but can be cold this time of year.
Site in Burgos, walkable to centre if reasonably fit.

Second the stop in Burgos, we were there a couple of weeks ago. Great fruit & veg market next to the parking area on a Saturday.
A flat walk into the centre but the view point above the cathedral is worth the effort.
We enjoyed the tapas Chez Pancho's.

Blimey certainly getting your share of the red stuff down there, we haven't had much sand in Javea, had our share of rain it was horrendous yesterday then to top it off had a pipe leak in the utility.
But not had many days not being able to go out, apparently we have had 40cm of rain this month, but unusually no flooding down here by the beach, they said rain today until lunchtime, no rain and we walked the coastal path from just past Moraira to Calpe 12.7 km bone dry and too hot. Bob.
