I had a pioneer dab160 fitted (apple car play).
When selecting reverse the radio comes on and doesn’t go off when out of reverse.
Has anyone got any ideas why, it’s a lot of hassle to take it back

Wired to the Reversing Camera feed?

I assume they have wired to the reverse supply ready for a rear camera. May be as simple as pulling the radio and removing single connection

Sounds like the accessory live feed has been wired into the reversing camera feed by mistake?

Depending on your age of van, if CANBUS, you might be able to disable the reverse gear screen signal in one of the software settings of your new head unit to stop your unit springing to life when you engage reverse. There are usually a cluster of camera related settings you can alter.
