Morning All,

I have purchase a tub of puriclean to add to my fresh water tank. Would it be OK to add it then run it through the taps etc and leave overnight before flushing it out?

That's what the manufacturers recommend. If you also make sure your heating boiler is filled at the same time, it will do a reasonable job of dealing it.

Yes but suggest you warm the water as had a habit of not dissolving properly in cold water. .

We dose with Purisol liquid at every fill too.

Not sure I’d want Purisol in our tank at every fill - can’t do your gut bacteria any good?

This from the manufacturer’s website : “Purisol is a most effective biocide with a very wide spectrum of activity and a fast rate of kill. It is Bactericidal, Vrucidal, Fungicidal and Sporocidal. PuriSol will deodorise offensive odours from the water system, removing odours completely by a process of oxidation. Not suitable to use with drinking water.”

Also, leaving it in the grey water tank for another overnight does no harm - maybe even go find some speed bumps to slosh it about a bit

Many apologies you are right.

I meant AquaSol.

I use puritabs (sp) every month or two. Just put two down the fresh water filler cap and fill it up.

I have been putting it in the fresh tank and then taking a leisurely drive around hopefully to slosh it around and then run all the taps and even the shower to see if it gets through the pipes.... Seems to have worked.
