The control panel is continuously bleeping on our 9048df. Could it be due to no use in lockdown. Dave has checked everything, solar panel, batteries full. Everytime it bleeps the lights, tv, heating, in fact, everything goes off. Any suggestions please?

What's the battery voltage, assume vehicle batt ok as you have started it. But what's the leisure batt voltage as could be shutting down due to over discharged battery.

Have you got any error codes?

If you put things on one at a time what triggers the beep and shut down.

Are you on EHU?

Sounds almost as if it’s trying to reset itself or restarting, possibly due to low voltage? What’s the voltage measured directly at your leisure battery bank?

Just possibly, it might also be a circuit-breaker cutting out due to an overload?

Thank you s uch for your replies. Have had ideas from the rapidowners group but unfortunately they didnt work. I'll show Dave your suggestions.

Dave says everything seems to be working its just a click click and it stays on for 30seconds to 2 minutes and then flashes again. If its switched on it does it whether theres anything on or not. First thing in the morning when we switched it on it was alright for about ten minutes and then it started. Hope this makes sense!

Not wishing to repeat others, but as you haven't actually answered what is the state of charge on the leisure battery? I agree with others it sounds like a low voltage problem. Had something similar years ago on our Swift when I had a leisure battery problem.

Thank you. The batteries are fully charged. Was that what you meant by your question, please?

Okay thanks, that helps (sort of).

Only thing I can suggest, might have already done it of course, is disconnect the control panel completely for around 30 secs and reconnect. If that doesn't work I'd guess the panel needs repair/replacement - there are places that do them.

stupid question, do you have water on board, I ask because our van has an hissy fit with alarms if no water,

Had similar problem. Took control panel out and found one of the wires at the back was loose ( cannot remember which one). Sorted that loose wire out and problem resolved. Maybe worth you having a look if you haven't already.

Thank you all for your helpful replies. We do appreciate it. Answering suggestions: yes the panel has been disconnecter and then reconnected. Yes, plenty of water on board. No. Dave hasn't taken the panel out so that will be the next job. It will be great if that is the problem. Lastly TerryL do you know, any places that do this please. We are in West Lancashire, but can easily travel if needs be. It will probably have to be after lockdown!! Thanks all once again.

It's an electronics firm that also repair faulty dashboards - sorry cannot remember the name, someone will come up with it shortly I'm sure. You don't need to visit, just take out the panel and post it to them - apparently they do (did prior to lockdown?) a very quick turnround.

We have the same problem with electronic panel. It's been taken out and appeared to be working but no joy. Did anyone know the name of the electronic firm for repair?

Not the same vehicle, but for what it's worth I had a bleeping noise on our new-to-us Stargazer, coming from the general direction of the invertor. Realized I had stupidly drained the leisure battery by leaving the satellite dish controller on for a few days, so not being any wiser, filed it under 'Buffoon' and set off. About 5 mins down the road the alarm stopped.

I now know enough realise I was lucky to get away without knackering the battery, but am working on the principle that a good belt from the alternator saved it.

These guys have got me out of electrical control problems before

Hi
What do you mean by fully charged?

Does the vehicle start?

Have you checked at the battery terminals with a meter and confirmed you have approx 12.5 Vdc. in BOTH systems

Does it do the same on hook up? with the 12v system charger ON. As it's a continental van you can do the same test with the engine running.

We had a problem with our control panel on our Rapido. 9048d . I may have posted on here. Anyway, we sent it to Apuljack Engineering 01258 588922 and although it has taken some time, ut arrived back on Friday and works perfectly.. they'd had problems sourcing what they needed. I can highly recommend them.

Just checked my texts. Thank you to those who replied.

Not sure but i had a similar problem and turned out to be something connecting electric steps.

Just to update, we’ve now been out a few times and have had no problems whatsoever. Thank you Appuljack.

You could try Rhino installs at bamber bridge excellent service. Not sure if he does fault finding but worth a call and not too far away. He usually has a waiting list.
