I realise I'm asking for a whole load of double entendres but the nozzle on the end of our water filler hose keeps coming off into the pipe. Read about it here. It was funny and made good fodder for our blog but we need to work out how to stop it happening or we'll end up with water inlet pipes full of nozzles. Hose is one of those stretchy retractable ones and we have an on/ff valve on it. The nozzle is attached to that. Hymer water inlets are bigger than others so it has room to shoot down the pipe.

Mags52 that what we've got. "Plug in" and just wait on the overflow!

Mags52 - I agree with the posts above. I use a Heo adapter and no chance of loosing your ‘bits’ into the tank as your hose connects externally.

Leave it off?
Do you always need to the tap on the end?

Thanks folks, I've had to do a double check as old Hymer water tanks don't seem to have an overflow (they overflow out of the filler) but it seems that there is room for it to overflow from the attachment. The blurb says you do need an overflow. Anyhoo - worth a try.

Without it there is the connector that is too big for the hole and it is impossible to do the filling without a second person aiming and firing. Those stretchy hoses have a connecting attachment as standard.

Just check that it doesn't also need a breather pipe to work effectively if you don't have an overflow.
