Hi folks,

I have been trying to set up the pre-paid ferry pass with AutoPASS ferje in Norway but am struggling to make the payment.

The information from them gives me all the bank details and tells me to use my KID number as the payment reference so the payment can be allocated to my account. I’ve done everything asked but the payment keeps getting returned to my bank (HSBC). I have investigated with my bank and the rejection code from the bank in Norway is “Missing KID” which is a puzzle as it is in the payment reference field as requested,

Has anyone else had any problems making payments to AutoPASS ferje and, if so, how did you solve them?

Many thanks, S

I think others have had similar problems with HSBC and Fulli tags?

Have you got a Revolut or Starling account?

Thanks for the info.
I do have Revolut account and had an attempt at using that to pay but couldn’t get it to accept the address which is a PO Box. Without an address that it will accept I can’t make the payment.
I’ll have another go tomorrow….

We set up an exchange account with Moneycorp. Funded it then they took the money from them direct.
Worked well , when we got back to the uk transferred any balance back again.

No problem with Starling here either.

I've attached the confirmation of the payment from AutoPASS-ferje showing the details I included last year if that helps.

From memory, when creating a new payee I omitted the post box number and just used the company name (Skytel AS) and the postcode (5893) and city (Bergen).

Thanks for all of your replies - very helpful 😁
I attempted a payment yesterday and am just waiting to see if it gets returned. If it does, I’ll try with Revolut using the info you’ve provided.
